I took my tears from the past few years and turned it all into oils. 

Iomí & Co. was born from a 3 year-long journey towards healing and returning—to my roots, to my rituals, and ultimately, to myself. The idea of Iomí began during a season of profound personal transformation that occurred after a trip to Belize for the first time in the midst of a blizzard. Unintentionally, the trip became an emotional turning point I didn’t know I needed. As I navigated through life’s unexpected twists and turns that followed afterwards, I used my daily skincare routines and hair rituals as a way to deal with grief. As a result, I found myself slowly returning back to the traditions, familiar landscapes, and quiet practices that had always made me feel grounded. What started as a deeply personal act of creating intentional moments of self-care gradually became a collection of oil rituals that I wanted to share with others in need of physical restoration, emotional healing, and even some spiritual reconnection.

Every single product I made tells a story. Some honor my Yoruba roots in Nigeria while others pay homage to my Afro-Brazilian culture. A few were created in honor of my daughter while others were inspired by places, relationships, and significant moments that changed the course of my life. From botanicals that have been cherished across generations to herbs grown with my own hands, each ingredient was chosen with intention and purpose. Every oil, butter, and herb is thoughtfully crafted to evoke softness, reflection, gratitude, emotional healing, and a sense of connection—to ourselves, to those who came before us, and to the journeys that continue to shape us.

At its heart, Iomí is an invitation to slow down. To transform everyday routines into meaningful rituals, to embrace gentleness as a form of strength, and to find beauty in caring for ourselves with intention.
